Split arrival

Welcome to Split!

Enjoy eight unforgettable days cruising on the southern Adriatic Sea from one island to another with the small luxury ship cruiser. Relax and let the captain, the crew, and our tour manager, take care of you. Mornings you can relax on spacious decks and sunbathe or refresh yourself in the Adriatic Sea. Afternoons and evenings are carefully planned for you to explore Croatia's finest destinations with local experts.
The story of Split is already 17 centuries old, dating to the time the Roman Emperor Diocletian decided to build his Palace right on the peninsula near the great Roman city Salona, where he wanted to spend the last years of his life. During these 1700 years the Palace slowly turned into a city, which to this day lures with its rich tradition, glorious history and beauty of its natural and cultural heritage.

There’s no doubt Diocletian’s Palace is the top must-see attraction in Croatia’s second biggest city –Split. This UNESCO protected World Heritage Site is actually the heart of the whole city – almost two thousand years old, the enormous palace exists today as a” living monument” – meaning it’s dotted with quaint shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and people actually live and work within its old walls. And that’s what makes it really special – it’s an ancient Roman palace absolutely integrated into the everyday life and doings of Split and its people.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by driver, and they will get you settled aboard your transfer and you'll be on your way to the Split harbor. Once you reach the harbor, you will be able to check-in. Cabins will be ready for you from 2 p.m. However, if arriving early, you'll be able to safely deposit your luggage aboard the ship. After settling in, join our local guide for a tour of the Split old town to get acquainted with the emperor Diocletian Palace and learn about the rich heritage of Split's millennial history. In the evening, we will serve the Welcome Dinner aboard the ship and your cruise manager will introduce you to the entire crew. Trogir / Island Šolta

Breakfast | Lunch

After breakfast, we set sail to the old Dalmatian town Trogir. Trogir is sometimes referred to as “miniature Venice” or a “mini Dubrovnik” because of its ancient walls, or a “floating museum town” – as it has a masterful architecture including some stunning Venetian palaces. After disembarking in Trogir we enjoy a private walking tour followed by some free time.

Our next sailing destination in island Šolta. Of course, en route, we’ll have a swim stop and lunch on board!
Šolta offers an unspoiled paradise, an island that’s been spared from much development despite being just a short boat ride from Split. Visitors will find sheltered coves and tranquil beaches for sunbathing and swimming in a crystal-clear turquoise sea. Rich history can be explored too, including a prehistoric fortress, churches, the ancient ruins of sarcophagi, and even the remains of a fish market in Piskeri Bay that belonged to Roman emperor Diocletian. The island produces some fantastic products too, including honey, wine, and olive oil. Visitors can get a glimpse of traditional life by visiting an olive mill for a tour to discover more about Šolta’s olive-oil making tradition, while a family-run farm offers the chance to learn how to make honey.

Maslinica Bay is in the far west of the island of Šolta, hidden by islets that give it a special charm. The westernmost is the largest island, Stipanska, where the remains of a Benedictine monastery and an early Christian Basilica from the 5th century can still be seen. Traditionally an old fishing village, Maslinica is also known for the Martinis Marchi castle on the south side of the bay, built by the Alberti family in 1708, which has been renovated as a modern hotel with a luxury marina and a mooring for 50 boats. The old part of the town, in the interior of the bay, is adorned with stone houses, and along the waterfront, there are excellent restaurants that always offer fresh fish and traditional specialties. Enjoy a late free afternoon and evening at leisure on this charming island.

Everyone comes for its beautiful beaches as well as its world-class dining and nightlife scene, but this sunny island has, even more, to offer for travelers of all types. Hvar Town has a historic center with impressive landmarks like Spanjola Fortress which offers a panoramic view over the town, harbor, the sea, and nearby islands from the top. Island Korčula

Breakfast | Lunch

Breakfast on board and sailing towards the island of Korčula - one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic Sea, with abundant vineyards and olive groves. The dense woods led the original Greek settlers to call the island Korkyra Melaina (Black Korčula). Quiet coves and small sandy beaches dot the steep southern coast while the northern shore is flatter and pebbly.

We’ll enjoy a swim stop (weather permit) before lunch at Island of Proizd, lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon we arrive to Korč ula, it is one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic Sea, with abundant vineyards and olive groves. The dense woods led the original Greek settlers to call the island Korkyra Melaina (Black Korčula). Quiet coves and small sandy beaches dot the steep southern coast while the northern shore is flatter and pebble.

We’ll enjoy a private walking tour accompanied by professional local guide. The main city of the island Korčula has the same name. Ringed by imposing defenses, this coastal citadel is dripping in history, with marble streets rich in Renaissance and Gothic architecture. Our local guide will take you on a unique tour of the old town of Korčula. You will hear many interesting stories and legends about the city and the life of Marco Polo, the most famous son of Korčula. It is still the most famous as the birthplace of Marco Polo who was probably born here in 1254, and reminders of him can be seen all around the town, including the extremely interesting Marco Polo Museum which is something you definitively don`t want to miss when visiting this beautiful Dalmatian town. Today it`s a town where you can vividly feel the Mediterranean spirit of people who live and work in this mixture of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture.

The casual approach to discovering the history and culture of Korčula will surely delight you. In the evening, we suggest you enjoy one of Korčula's many exquisite restaurants. If unsure, you can always get some good tips for dinner or points of interest from your cruise manager. If you are looking for a great & unique shopping store – Korčula is the right places, plenty of small boutique local shops and jewelry stores.

Slano - Peljesac Peninsula

Breakfast | Light lunch Oyster, Mussels & Wine Tasting

Early in the morning, while breakfast is served, we set sail for Pelješac peninsula Trstenik. Pelješac is a peninsula in southern Croatia, in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. It is around 70 km long and is connected with Croatian Mainland at Ston. The Pelješac Channel divides the peninsula from the island of Korčula. Scattered like breadcrumbs across the foothills of the dolomites, the hamlets, and villages of southern Pelješac evoke an ancient past. The rocks, the vegetation, the groves of pine and cypress - everywhere a sense of timelessness prevails. On the hills above the sea, abandoned villas and gardens, stone walls and columns lie crumbling in the sun. Lemon, fig and almond trees, herbs and wildflowers surround the villages gardens and fields. On our way we will stop for a swim in one of the many picturesque bays dotting the coast. Upon arrival in Trstenik, we will embark on our gastronomic adventure!

Our first stop is one of the most famous wineries - Grgich Winery - Famed for his Grgich Hills in Napa, he resorted back to his Pelješac roots in the late 1990's, opening his Croatian cellar. Here, taste the wines created by the man who sensed a familial relationship between Plavac Mali and Zinfandel, which led to discovery of their common origin from Crljenak Kaštelanski grapes! After a few glasses of wine and head to meet oysterman, taking a short boat ride to the oyster farm in the middle of the bay enjoying a traditional lunch with a glass of wine in hand - we'll be tasting this natural aphrodisiac straight from the sea. Talk about a gourmet's dream!

Before we head back to our boat, we’ll visit Ston city - the town with the longest stone wall in Europe (5, 5 km) and the other in the world after the Chinese Wall! The walls were reinforced with 40 towers and 5 fortresses. Originally, they were 7 km long but were partially destroyed in the 1667 earthquake. After the Dubrovnik Republic acquired the Pelješac peninsula in 1334, it required the protection of the town of Ston and started building the defense walls. This large complex was built in Dubrovnik from 1334 to 1506. At that time, it was the largest fortification-urbanist project in Europe. We return to our ship in the late afternoon and spend the night in Slano, evening at leisure.

One of the park's highlights is the two saltwater lakes, Veliko Jezero and Malo Jezero, which are connected by a narrow channel. The history of Mljet dates to ancient times, with the Greek geographer Strabo mentioning it as the island of Melite.

It is also known for its beautiful beaches, such as Saplunara Beach on the southern coast, which is a popular destination for sun-seekers and swimming enthusiasts.
