Konavle is a municipality and a small region located southeast of Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is administratively part of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the center of the municipality is Cavtat.
Konavle is an area with unique natural virtues and contrasts: valley and mountain, naked stone and green hills, the blue, and the green. The preserved natural and particularly valuable rural architecture, many monuments of the thousand-year-old history of this region, traditions that have been kept through folklore, the unique traditional costumes of Konavle and the Konavle decoration, the balance of man’s life and nature …all this renders Konavle region recognizable and unique.
